Knox City Council does not have a municipal pound so it contracts the services of the Narre Warren Boarding Kennels as a pound facility. The pound is located at 202 A’Beckett Rd Narre Warren North (Melways 109 E6) Tel: 03 9796 9587.

The Nillumbik Regional Pound is located on the same site as Nillumbik Works Depot at 290-304 Yan Yean Road, Plenty (Melway 11 E1). It is open from 8am to 11am every day. Telephone enquiries can also be made via 9433 3231 during the following hours: 8.30am to 6.30pm Monday, except during January when hours are 8.30am to 5pm - 8.30am to 5pm Tuesday to Friday excluding public holidays.
